A NOTE FROM NANCIE
I hope your summer was filled with wonderful memories and that you’re looking forward to this next season—a season of thanksgiving.
It’s been a minute since you’ve heard from us, and I apologize for that. Hearts for Emma continues its mission of supporting families with children facing juvenile heart disease while championing education about heart transplantation and the importance of organ and tissue donation. The need for this support is greater than ever.
Our gift card program remains a vital part of what we do, such as providing a gas card to help a family travel for a post-transplant appointment or an Instacart card so a caregiver who has lost their job while caring for their child can feed their family. These efforts, along with the more than 50 other initiatives (yes, I’ve counted!), are only possible through your continued generosity.
This year, we made the decision not to hold our annual gala, instead choosing to focus on smaller gatherings that build connection in new ways. Our summer wine tasting was a wonderful success—a special evening shared with friends and supporters. Next up is our Trivia Night on November 6th!
Please see the flyer below for details. Reservations are recommended—create your own team or let us match you with one. It’s sure to be a fun evening!
Finally, please keep a look out for a special letter from us in the coming weeks. It’s an important part of our annual appeal, and we hope you’ll consider supporting Hearts for Emma so we can continue to help families through their most difficult moments.
Hope to see you at Trivia Night—and thank you, as always, for keeping our mission close to your heart.
With gratitude,
Nancie
and the Hearts for Emma Team
